School Readiness funding assists families in obtaining affordable, high quality child care. Funding for these families is part of the Office of Early Learning budget that has earmarked 60 million dollars across the state to enroll children in programs designed to ensure school readiness and reading on grade level by third grade. ELC AWARDED $286,000 CARES ACT FUNDS FOR PROVIDERS The Early Learning Coalition of Manatee County, Inc (ELC) has awarded a $286,000 grant through the Office of Early Learning (OEL) to support local providers during the COVID-19 pandemic. 152 programs were eligible to receive these grants and 115 awarded by June 5 th .
